"Students of term" need at school Crofton Community Schools recently released the third-term "Student of the Term" awards to a junior high and senior high student. Council approves pool refurbishment plan The Crofton City Council voted to open the current Crofton pool by Memorial Day of this year for the summer season, and also approved an estimate of costs for the refurbishment of the pool, starting a new direction for the future of the swimming pool in the community. Lakeview Course opens for season The Crofton Lakeview Golf Course officially opened for the season on March 24. Fundraiser features "Pi Day..." Frannie Guenther picks up a pie that he ordered from the Crofton Senior Center for their belated "Pi Day" fundraiser. Pictured with Frannie are volunteers Janet Lammers, Pat Wakeley, Nancy Schieffer, and manager Mary Sawatzke. The center sold 78 pies baked by 27 individuals. The center has planned to reopen for in house meals on April 19.

Five youth to Free Throw state... Crofton students recently competed in the regional Knights of Columbus Free Throw contest on March 7th in Wayne. Five youth are advancing to State in Grand Island on April 10.

Warrior Band members perform at All-State Crofton Warrior Band students participated in Class C All-State Band on Saturday, March 20.
