The 20-3 Crofton Lady Warriors took to the court for the C2-4 Sub-District Tournament, hosted at Crofton, on Wednesday, Feb. 19, as the #1 seed.

The Lady Warriors faced off against Norfolk Catholic (8-16), who had defeated Summerland in a bunny bracket on Feb. 18.

A win for the Lady Warriors would put them into the subdistrict final against the winner of Ord (14-9) and West Holt (17-6) who were also playing Wednesday at West Holt.

Since last report, the Lady Warriors had picked up at least two more wins – against Elk Point-Jefferson on Feb. 11 and against Norfolk Catholic on Feb. 13.

Against Norfolk Catholic in the most recent game, the Lady Warriors got a good setup for their subdistrict tournament, defeating the visiting team 64-38.

No stats were available by press time.

The team also had a solid game against Elk Point-Jefferson, winning 52-47.

Sammie Allen led her team’s offense with 18 total points off two field goals, three three-point goals, and 5/7 from the free throw line. She posted six rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocks.

Cassie Allen had nine points, Jaida Allen and Jaisie Janssen had seven points each, Seanna Pinkelman had six points, and Ashlynn Schieffer had five points to round out the team’s scoring.
