Junior Alexa Suing finished five places short of qualifying for the Nebraska State Girls Golf Meet with a score of 102 and a 15th place finish.
On Monday, October 8, the Lady Warrior golf team traveled to Wayne to compete in the District meet to qualify for state. Unfortunately, Crofton did not qualify anyone for the state meet, but they still played hard and helped each other move forward.
“I feel like I have done amazing; I have improved a lot since last year. I feel like Alexa and Kaija have helped me improve by a lot,” Steffen recalled from the season.
Junior Kaija Hess finished in 41st place scoring a 122, and sophomore Natalee Steffen finished in 64th place scoring a 143. Even though her season has come to an end, she is still proud of her progress. “My best score last year was a 140 and my new best score is 118,” remarked Hess.
The Lady Warrior Golf season is now over, but they will return everyone to the team next season.
