A local Nebraska Firearm Hunter Education classroom
course will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 7-8 at the Crofton Senior Citizens Center.
Any youth 11 years of age by September 8, 2024 are eligible to register for this year’s class. Even if the student will be 11 before the end of the last day of the class, they qualify.
Other requirements include:
Any child under 11 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian every session.
At the first session, everyone under 18 years of age must give the instructor a signed, completed Parental Release Form (download, print, and sign).
All students under 19 years of age should be accompanied by a parent/guardian to the first session to ensure appropriate information is received on dates, sessions, and additional requirements.
Registration can be completed at the Nebraska Game & Parks Hunter Education website, be sure to register for the correct dates.
The Saturday class will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the Sunday class will begin at 9:30 a.m. and run through 1:30 p.m.
Other notes for the event: Please bring a writing utensil and a highlighter if you have one. Please bring a water bottle to use during the day. You will be required to attend both days to complete the class.
