"It feels amazing to play a game after all of our practices. I look forward to this season all year." junior Sammie Allen stated about the Lady Warriors' season opening game on Thursday, November 30 when they faced the Tri-County Northeast Wolfpack.
Taking control of the game early on, the Lady Warriors finished the first quarter with senior Caitlin Guenther scoring a two-point buzzer beater making the score 26-0. Heading into halftime, the Lady Warriors continued to execute and led 48-7. The Lady Warriors came out of half time ready to play, making the score 66-16. The Lady Warriors finished the game without allowing the Wolfpack to score in the fourth quarter, ending with the final score, 74-16.

Jaida and Cassie Allen had 12 points, and junior Sammie Allen added 11 more. The Lady Warriors headed to Laurel to take on the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Lady Bears on Friday, December 1. Coming out strong in the first quarter, the Lady Warriors led 24-10. Only giving up three points in the second quarter, the Lady Warriors continued to lead 48-13.
In the third quarter, the Lady Warriors held up their strong defense while only allowing the Lady Bears to score five points making the score 63-18. The Lady Warriors had 21 steals which contributed to the Bears having 26 turnovers. In the fourth quarter, the Lady Warriors did not allow the Lady Bears to score, ending the game 73-18. After the game, senior Ellie Tramp stated, "It is so fun being involved in such a great program that allows us girls to play really well together." Janssen finished the game with 13 points, S. Allen with 12 points, and E. Tramp with 11 points.
This week's Varsity Player of the Week was senior Caitlin Guenther with 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists. The Junior Varsity Player of the Week is J. Janssen with 15 points.
The Lady Warriors will compete next on Tuesday, December 5, at Crofton High School against the Boone Central Lady Cardinals.
