The Talent Contest for the Knox County 4H Fair was held July 27, 2023, at the First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield.
The Talent Contest consists of a Dance Division, Instrumental Division, Vocal Division, and Other Division.
The participants for the 2023 Talent Contest included Morgan Stevens of Crofton, Peyton Bratetic of Bloomfield, Hallie Kumm of Wausa, Issac Steffen of Crofton, Cecilia Wortmann of Crofton, Grace Steffen of Crofton, and Meredith Wortmann of Crofton.
In the Advanced Instrumental Division, Morgan Stevens received a blue ribbon. The Champion in the Intermediate Also in the Instrumental Division was Peyton Bratetic playing “Night of the Tarantella & Hot Summer Blues” on the piano.
Hallie Kumm received a blue ribbon playing “Country Roads” on the guitar; Issac Steffen received a purple ribbon playing “Double Stunt” on the piano and Cecilia Wortmann received a purple ribbon playing “Music Box Dancer” on the piano. The Champion in the beginning Instrumental Division was Meredith Wortmann playing “Duke of the York Strut” on the piano.
Also in the beginning instrumental division, Grace Steffen received a Blue Ribbon while playing “Firefly, Young Hunter, and The Lonely Pine” on the piano. The Champion in the beginning Vocal Division was Grace Steffen with her song “A Song for my Dog.”
The Champion in the Intermediate Other Division was Peyton Bratetic with his performance of “Rubik’s Cube Wonder.”
The Judge for the Talent Contest was Amber Collier of Hartington.
