The blue and gold came together once again for the 95th State FFA Convention in Lincoln.
On March 28- 31 members of the Crofton FFA chapter traveled to Lincoln to compete at and take part in the State FFA Convention.
While these members were there they competed in competitions that tested their skills and abilities. They competed in both indoor and outdoor competitions ranging from parliamentary procedure (Parli-Pro) and conduct of chapter meetings (CCM) to livestock judging and management, along with a few other competitions.
Although none of the teams did as well as they had hoped, both the Parli-Pro team and the CCM team came home with plaques to show their achievements. Sophia Wortmann also came home with a medal to show her hard work and memorization of the FFA Creed. .
The FFA members didn’t only compete at the convention, they also went to a career fair, visited the dairy market, went to the mall and participated in a few escape rooms to fill their time between competitions. They also had the opportunity to attend some workshops to improve their leadership and social skills.
According to senior Madisen Petersen “State FFA is an amazing tradition that I am glad to get to be a part of. Not only do I get to spend time with my friends and fellow schoolmates, but I also get to meet so many new people.”
