To maintain system reliability, NPPD has just been informed by SPP that we need to do emergency coordinated interruptions of service. These 30-minite interruptions of service occur in real-time, so we have very little, if any, notice as to where these interruptions will take place.

Smith to Hold Virtual Mobile Offices
Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) will hold virtual mobile offices to meet with constituents of the Third District. In order to ensure sufficient capacity, the virtual mobile offices are divided by time zone. Constituents living in the Central Time Zone should plan to attend the meeting on Tuesday, February 16, and constituents living in the Mountain Time Zone should plan to attend the meeting on Thursday, February 18. Those interested in attending must pre-register at the links provided below.
A mobile office allows constituents to meet directly with Congressman Smith about federal issues and take advantage of the constituent services available through his office, such as assisting individuals with challenges they face while working with a federal agency, ordering flags flown over the U.S. Capitol, and booking future tours in Washington, D.C.
Smith, who has offices in Grand Island and Scottsbluff, will hold the mobile office online on Tuesday, February 16 and Thursday, February 18 at the following times and links:

A funeral mass for John “Big John” Osborne, age 87, of rural Riverton, Wyo. will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Catholic Gymnasium in Riverton. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow the funeral mass at Mountain View Cemetery. He was a 1952 graduate of Atkinson High School.

A funeral service for Eugene D. Poessnecker, age 78, of Atkinson, Neb. will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Atkinson.
Visitation will be held on Friday January 29, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Seger Funeral Home with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service.
Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Atkinson.

By the end of the week of January 15th, North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) will move to COVID-19 Vaccination Phase1B in Antelope, Brown, Boyd, Cherry, Holt, Keya Paha, Knox, Pierce, and Rock Counties.
As Phase 1A partners wrap up vaccinations this week, NCDHD will commence vaccinating those 75 years and older on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Individuals 75 years or older who reside in the district may register for a COVID-19 vaccine at ncdhd.ne.gov.
Once registered, individuals will be called to schedule an appointment at the next available COVID-19 vaccine clinic. If assistance in needed to register do not call NCDHD; rather, enlist the aid of a friend or family member, call your local library, or call your nearest senior center.
NCDHD partnered with several libraries and senior centers in the district to guide this population through the registration process.
Registration is required, walk-ins will be turned away.
NCDHD recognizes federal partners added the 65 years and older and those with underlying health conditions categories into Phase 1B. NCDHD respectfully requests this population wait until February to sign up on the statewide registry. NCDHD will release media for the statewide registry once updated are available.
A funeral service for Gary Aten, age 82 of Atkinson will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Atkinson.
Visitation will be held on Monday January 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at Seger Funeral Home and then on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the service time at the United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Atkinson.
Masks will be required to be able to attend the church service.

North Central District Health Department will host a drive-through influenza shot clinic on Wednesday, December 9, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the back of the NCDHD office in O’Neill. To access the clinic, enter through the east ally entrance and remain in your vehicle. To fast track the clinic process, complete the vaccination form online prior to arrival and have a copy of your insurance card with you. If unable to complete the vaccination form prior to the clinic NCDHD will have hard copies available and will be making copies of insurance cards as needed.
A funeral service for Maxine Hamilton, age 89, of O’Neill, Neb. will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill. Father Bernard Starman will officiate.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the O’Neill Cemetery.
