North Central RC&D held their first paper shredding event this year yesterday, (Thursday) along Highway 20. The event had two levels of success. 13,000 lbs. of paper was collected from Cody, Valentine, Bassett and Stuart. 68 bins were loaded into the truck and shredded on site.
Unfortunately the truck was full at the close of the Stuart collection.
The truck was scheduled to also stop in Atkinson and O’Neill. So those two stops had to be postponed.
They have been rescheduled for one week later, Sept 30. O’Neill will have their collection at 2:15-3:30. Atkinson’s collection has been rescheduled- 4:00-4:45. Collection sites that day include Springview, Naper, Butte, Spencer and Lynch with O’Neill and Atkinson to follow.
The Stuart Broncos football game on Friday, September 24 has been cancelled due to Elba forfeiting. Because of a lack of numbers for the Elba team.
School will still dismiss at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 24.
